Ministry Overview

The signs of the times and the conditions of the world are stark reminders that the Second Coming of our Lord is imminent. It is because of this urgency that the Personal Ministries Department of the Southeastern Conference is sending out a clarion call for us to teach and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in response to His command in the context of the Three Angels Messages of Revelation 14:6 – 12.  As we seek to fulfill this mission, the Personal Ministries Department, together with our pastors, will continue to equip and resource our members to reach our communities with this Christ-centered message of hope and wholeness.

It is the earnest desire of this department to enlist every member in active soul-winning service for God. There is no greater privilege than to be guided by the Holy Spirit to inspire, organize, train, and assist God’s people in the joy of sharing Jesus.

One person cannot do this work, but when we rely totally and continually on the God of the Impossible, there is nothing that we cannot achieve, because nothing is too hard for Him.

There will be no failure! Success is assured!

“The entire church, acting as one, blending in perfect union, is to be a living, active missionary agency, moved and controlled by the Holy Spirit” (Testimonies, Vol. 8, p. 47)

“If Christians were to act in concert, moving forward as one, under the direction of one Power for the accomplishment of one purpose, they would move the world” (Testimonies, Vol. 9, p. 221).

The Church, re-sensitized, re-energized, re-grouped, and re-equipped, to re-deem the lost.

To equip and resource pastors and churches to become Change Agents to reach communities within Southeastern Conference through the Christ-Centered Message of Spiritual Hope and Wholeness.

To inspire our constituents for a lifelong commitment to Christ-centered discipleship.

To make it to the Kingdom together.

Strategic Goal

  • Utilize the Mission Driven motif throughout the Southeastern Conference to ensure all churches are equipped with resources and training to become truly Mission Driven.
  • Equip our churches in becoming hybrid centers for evangelism
  • Implement Mentorship Program – Ensure Church Leaders are empowered to develop and mentor youth and young adults to spread the Christ-centered message of spiritual hope and wholeness.
  • Partnering efforts with geographically located sister churches or other ‘entities’ in Evangelism efforts to bring back previously churched and the un-churched individuals
  • Short-Term: Revitalize evangelism and discipleship in every church.
  • Mid-Term: Every Church having 50% of active members engaged in discipleship
  • Long-Term: Every Church baptizing a minimum of 10% of its active membership annually

Use the Mission-Driven B.A.S.I.C.S. strategies:

  • Collaboration with pastors/laity
  • Revitalize evangelism in each church
  • Identify leaders in each church to know and understand the B.A.S.I.C.S. strategies
  • Train and equip leaders through the use of Southeastern conference-wide retreats, workshops, seminars
  • Need assessment – surveys, questionnaires
  • Diversity and language groups outreach/equity
