It’s Sabbath, January 17, 2026 and we gather at the beautiful Mt. Calvary Seventh-day Adventist Church in Tampa, Florida, to celebrate the culmination of the Southeastern Conference’s 20 days of Prayer and Fasting, themed Unleashed.
This year’s Conference prayer initiative celebrating God’s goodness through a virtual platform, reached hundreds of households each night.
Pastor Mark Brown, the Southeastern Conference’s prayer director and coordinator of the 20 days of virtual sessions, expressed a profound sense of spiritual buoyancy regarding the movement of God during this period. He stated, “Prayer is the most essential ingredient in the life of the believer; without it, nothing we do is possible. But with radical prayer, all things are possible… my prayer is that the kindling of the Holy Ghost fire will continue to burn in our hearts.”
Dr. Brown extended his gratitude to local churches for their unwavering support, acknowledging their faithful participation throughout the prayer nights.
The highlight of the Sabbath celebrations was the divine worship hour, where Pastor Eric D. Clarke from Maranatha SDA Church in Tallahassee, Florida, delivered a powerful sermon on the theme Unleashed. Accompanied by Mt. Calvary’s dynamic praise and worship team, Clarke reminded the congregation that while God desires to elevate us, we must not linger in complacency, He referenced Genesis 19:17, illustrating how Lot hesitated despite God’s guidance out of Sodom. Pastor Clarke urged the congregation to learn from Lot’s experience, allowing the Holy Spirit to unleash its power so we can advance with purpose and urgency in 2026. He emphasized, “Our petitions must not be small, but radical. When we pray with power and persistence, all things are possible.”
