Greetings Conference Family,

We are now in the process of addressing the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Many of our churches along the western coast, as well as in southern Georgia, have been significantly impacted. While plans are underway to open a warehouse to coordinate post-hurricane relief, these efforts often take time as they involve working through state agencies.

To address the most urgent needs, the Southeastern Conference Adventist Community Services (ACS) department will be deploying four service trailers to affected areas. We urgently need life-saving supplies, and we ask that these items be dropped off at designated locations for transportation to the impacted churches. Donations can be dropped off starting Sunday, October 6th, at the following locations:

  • Region 1: New Life International SDA Church
  • Region 2: Mt. Olive SDA Church, Apopka
  • Region 3: Progress Village SDA Church, Tampa
  • Region 4: Mt. Olivet SDA Church, Ft. Lauderdale
  • Region 5: Bethany SDA Church, Miami

Items needed include bottled water, diapers (both adult and children’s), flashlights, batteries, washcloths, towels, medical kits, and non-perishable foods (rice, beans, noodles, etc.). Please note, we are notaccepting clothing items at this time due to a lack of storage and cleaning facilities.

Pickups will begin on Tuesday, October 8th, and deliveries will follow immediately.

We pray for God’s blessing on our efforts, and we ask for your continued prayers for those who have suffered great losses in the path of Hurricane Helene.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Southeastern Conference Adventist Community Services (ACS)
