Southeastern Appoints Associate Education Superintendent

Carol Byrd has been appointed to serve as the Associate Superintendent of Education for the Southeastern Conference. Carol, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is the wife of William Byrd, Pastor of the Miami Bethany SDA Church.

She is the proud mother of three adult children who are products of Christian Education from K through College. She is a graduate of Oakwood Academy and Union College in Lincoln Nebraska where she graduated with a B.S. degree Business Education and Sociology. She later attended Andrews University where she received her M.A. in Teaching. She is currently working towards an Educational Specialists degree.

Byrd has been an educator for a number of years serving in the both the public and private sectors. She has served as a teacher, Vice-Principal and Principal.
