Northern Caribbean University seeks lecturers in the fields of
Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration, Leadership, and
Research, within the College of Graduate Education and Leadership  

Northern Caribbean University (NCU) is a Seventh-day Adventist
institution located in Mandeville, Jamaica, West Indies.  Organized in six
colleges, it offers more than 70 academic and professional degrees. The
university has 364 faculty and 366 staff members and 5,341 students. NCU
seeks qualified candidates for the following positions:

1.Curriculum and Instruction.  Doctorate in curriculum and or instruction
or related field.  Strong background in instructional processes,
curriculum development, and staff development practice.  The experience or
the ability to advise at the graduate level, including both masters and
doctoral students, is required.  Advertisement is important on both the
programme level and the research process which includes theses and
dissertations.  A solid scholarly production background is needed, or the
promise of developing such a background is essential.

2. Educational Administration.  Doctorate in education administration or
related field.  Experience in elementary, secondary, or higher education
as an education administrator is required.  Expertise in human resource
management, legal and ethical issues in education, financial management,
supervision, and school improvement initiatives is desired.  The
experience or the ability to advise at the graduate level, including both
masters and doctoral students, is required.  Advertisement is important on
both the programme level and the research process, including theses and
dissertations.  A solid scholarly production background is needed, or the
promise of developing such a background is essential.

3. Leadership. Doctorate in Leadership or related discipline from an
accredited institution with an interdisciplinary focus on education.
Teaching responsibilities on the doctoral level.  Research in Leadership
or related disciplines, successful leadership, participation and
advertising on dissertation committees, ability to apply research to
practice based on experience, contribute to student growth and
development, support the research intensive focus of the University, and
demonstrate service to the University-Community.

4. Research.  Doctorate in research methods.  Quantitative and qualitative
research methods experience is desired but experience in one or the other
research tradition, with an interest in the other, is acceptable.  The
experience or the ability to advise at the graduate level, including both
masters and doctoral students, is required.  Advertisement is important on
both the programme level and the research process, including theses and
dissertations.  A solid scholarly production background is needed, or the
promise of developing such a background is essential.
