Ordination is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a pastor. Pastor Harold brooks was ordained during camp meeting this summer, June 2007.
Pastor Harold H. Brooks is a native of Clearwater, Florida. He is the product of Christian education. In his formative years he attended Bethlehem Jr. Academy in Clearwater and Elim Jr. Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida. Pastor Brooks is also an alumnus of Oakwood College, were he majored in religion.
After completing his studies at Oakwood College, he was invited by Evangelist G.H. Rainey to serve as an assistant evangelist in Los Angeles, California. He was later invited by Dr. Lewis Edwards to conduct an evangelistic meeting in Palmetto, Florida. Thirty-one souls were baptized. Shortly after this meeting he received a call to the gospel ministry in the Southeastern Conference. His first assignment was the Sarasota/Bradenton district.
God richly blessed his ministry in this district. Many souls were baptized, property was purchased and money was raised for a new church. Pastor Brooks has served in the following areas of God’s vineyard: Fitzgerald/Lakeland/ Hazelhurst, Georgia, Thomasville/Bainbridge, Georgia, and in the Clearwater/Tampa, Florida district. He is currently the Pastor in the Ft. Myers Peniel and the Port Charlotte Faith district. Pastor Brooks has a passion for evangelism and has conducted a crusade in each of the districts were he has pastored. Pastor Brooks has conducted an evangelistic crusade in the Ivory Coast of West Africa,during this meeting twenty five precious souls were baptized into God’s remnant church. He was also the speaker for the Ethiopian Union workers at the Ethiopian Union office morning devotionals for two weeks.
Pastor Brooks is married to the former Darlene Smith of Marion, S .C. They have one daughter Briana Ja’Nay. Pastor Brooks loves God, the gospel ministry and God’s people. His desire is to live, preach and teach for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
