May 5-7, 2006 was a busy weekend for pathfinders in Southeastern Conference. Both District one and District five had their annual camporees.

This weekend was also made memorable because it marked District One’s very first Campout. Both Districts had distinctive and imaginative themes.

District One’s theme was "Celestial Camping...Where Pathfinders and Adventurers Reach for the Stars!" while District five’s theme was "Igniting the Torch for Eternity".

Pathfinders from both districts attended their respective campouts where they participated in several worship services, honor workshops and recreational activities.

The highlight of District One campout was a neighborhood parade that allowed others in the community to see youth in action.

District 5’s campout is known for their campsite inspection, drill competition and tent relays. The pathfinders joyously participated in all aspects of their camporees and when it all came to an end, it was a bittersweet parting.

Friendships were made, honors were earned but above all the name of the Lord was praised.

The army of the Lord continues to thrive and reach onward and upward in Southeastern.
