The SEC 8th Annual Spelling Bee was held on Saturday, February 25th at the Elim SDA Church School. 10 schools participated, and all students did a fantastic job.   Each school held a spelling bee and the winner from the local spelling bee went on to represent their school in the conference spelling bee.

The Spelling Pronouncer was Ms. Patricia Allen, Asst. Treasurer of Southeastern Conference.  The judges were:  Carol Byrd, Dr. Tonya Henley,  Carol Smith  and  Joseph Okike. The dictionarians were:  Donell Powell and Norma Nelson.

The winners were:  Whitney Lloyd, (3rd Place Shiloh SDA School, Ocala) Briana Lowe, (2nd Place, Ephesus-W. Palm Beach) , and Duran Carter (1st Place, Perrine SDA School).

The evening was climaxed with E. Young, C. Byrd and C. Smith presenting all participants with Trophies, Ribbons, and Monetary Gifts.  This event is one that will be a memorable occasion for all of our students that were participants in the Spelling Bee.
